Ms. Kathryn Potthoff
Hello! My name is Kathryn Potthoff and I teach 7th and 8th grade On-Track Literacy. I graduated from St. Cloud State University with a BS in Elementary Education and went on to get my Master's Degree in Reading from the University of St. Thomas. I am in my 21st year of teaching, having taught in Forest Lake and Anoka-Hennepin, with a focus in teaching reading intervention. I have experience teaching grades K-12 but my favorite grades to teach are 6th-8th. Middle school students are funny, creative and amazing.
Outside of school, I love to spend time with my husband Eric and 4 boys Bennett, Hayden, Jackson, and Cameron. We are very busy watching the boys play sports, especially baseball, basketball, and cross-country running. I also love to play with my dogs, travel, read, take pictures, and hang out with my neighbors.
Teaching intervention lets me work with students to find strategies that work for them. Students can make huge gains in my classes and leave knowing their potential. Thank you for letting me teach your kids, they are definitely future leaders!
