Miss Kolleen Maveus

Hello!

I'm so thrilled to be a part of Farnsworth Aerospace Middle School! I joined the Farnsworth team at the start of the 2019-20 school year with many years of teaching at the secondary level under my belt, having been teaching since 1996.

During the school year, I teach 6th Grade English Language Arts (Readers and Writers Workshops) and occasionally 7th Grade English Language Arts. My summers include teaching 11th Grade English (credit recovery) and 8th Grade (reading & writing). Working with students is a great passion of mine, as I love to see students strive for dreams and build layers of successes.

Additionally, I've spent 17 years working as a freelance editor and ghostwriter.

When I'm not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. Other activities that fill my time include crafting, baking, playing piano, reading, watching sports, and being a part of anything outdoors.

It is my joy to work with Farnsworth students, and help them to achieve great things in Reading and Writing while opening new doors of possibilities!
