Mr. Hilton-Watson

Hello everyone! I am Mr. HW, the 6th grade EL teacher here at Farnsworth. I'm originally from a small town in Michigan, but I moved to St. Paul in 2016 to start college. I liked it here so much that I decided to stay. After graduating from Macalester in 2020 (the ceremony was canceled), I went to the University of Minnesota for my master's degree in second language education. Then I started teaching at Farnsworth in 2022. Like my students, I am also multilingual, and in fact I'm also a licensed French teacher. I try to use my experience as a language learner to provide a comfortable and welcoming environment for my students as they transition into middle school. When I'm not here, you can usually find me at home with my cat.
