Mr. Running

Mr. Running brings 20 years of teaching experience to his role as a middle school special education teacher. Although much of his career has been spent in high school classrooms, Bret enjoys helping students of any age who are on the autism spectrum to thrive academically and socially. He most enjoys making an effort to incorporate artistic and creative elements into his students’ assignments.  In addition to his special education licensure, he is also licensed to teach Social Studies for grades 5-12, offering a versatile skill set to his students.

Bret lives quite close to Farnsworth Aerospace Middle School in a house with Natasha, his girlfriend of 16 years, and their two dogs and three cats.  When he’s not teaching, he enjoys working on remodeling projects, playing Dungeons and Dragons, sewing, woodworking, creative writing, hockey, and golf. Music is also a big part of Bret’s life; he plays guitar in a local band called My Cousin Dallas.
