Hey!  My name is Maria Evans and I am one of your two school counselors at Farnsworth Aerospace Upper!  This is my seventh year at Farnsworth and I am so excited to be back.  Prior to Farnsworth, I worked as a school counselor for Baltimore City Public Schools and the Maryland State Department of Education.  I am thrilled to start my seventh year with Farnsworth and Saint Paul Public Schools!

As a school counselor, my role is to support our students' academic, social/emotional, and post-secondary development needs.  This is done through a comprehensive school counseling program implemented through one-on-one counseling, small group counseling, and classroom lessons.  I am a member of the Student Assistance Team (SAT), the Restorative Practice Team, the Mental Health Team, and the Student Attendance Matters (SAM) Team.  I love being a school counselor because I love learning and growing with our students and families.  I want to provide students with as many opportunities as possible and help them work through any issues, concerns, or barriers they face.  When I am not working, I like to spend time with my family and friends, listen to music, write, eat, hangout with my cat, and watch my favorite shows.
