In the Spring our 7th Graders fly to our nation's capitol.

With stops at the Smithsonian and the Udvar-Hazy Air & Space Museums, students review our nation's rich history of flight. They see everything from the original Wright Flyer to the Shuttle Discovery including breakthroughs like the X-15, the aircraft that bridged atmospheric and space flight by traveling six times the speed of sound.

From high in the gallery during a trip to the Capitol, they can preside over the Senate. At the National Archives, the Boeing Learning Lab gives students an opportunity to explore the lofty ideas found in the Constitution. Taking on roles as archivists and researchers, they uncover real-life examples of the Constitution at work in their daily lives. They'll see the original documents of The Charters of Freedom; viewing the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
